GOAL:
To expose the student to the tools of navigation so one can safely navigate through coastal waters.

SUBJECTS COVERED:
1. Principles of voyage planning and underway navigation
2. Nautical Charts -understanding symbols - compass rose
3. How to use basic navigation tools and instruments
4. Piloting - how to plot a course on a nautical chart
5. Tide Charts - how to read a tidal chart
